AMAL's executive team combines a wealth of experience across all sectors of the financial services industry.

Kent McPhee - Chief Executive

Kent has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry, specialising in funds management, mortgage finance and property-related services. Kent’s career includes being a founding director and shareholder of Retireinvest and a director of Armstrong Jones Asia Limited where he ran the property investment banking division, before founding AMAL in 1994.

Brendan Weir - Executive Director

Brendan joined AMAL in 1997 and joined the Board in 2000. Brendan is responsible for the marketing of AMAL's range of products and services to institutional clients. Prior to AMAL, Brendan worked with Portfolio Partners/Norwich in their investment management and marketing areas. Brendan has over 18 years experience in the financial services industry.

Sharon Attwater - Manager Customer Service and Operations

Sharon has over 16 years experience in the banking and funds management industries and joined AMAL in 1998. She has worked in various senior roles within the company and is currently responsible for customer service across all divisions, as well as accountability for the company accounts, human resources and general office functions. Sharon also overseas the growing consumer servicing business. Prior to AMAL, Sharon was employed by Citibank for four years in various roles including Manager – New Business. Sharon has also worked for the ANZ Banking Group for over eight years in general banking and credit roles.

Terri Campbell - Manager Projects

Terri joined AMAL in 1998 after working with Permanent Trustees (now part of the Trust group) in the Securitisation Trusts division. In 2001 Terri was appointed manager of the Portfolio Administration division, overseeing all aspects of the loan servicing team. In 2007 Terri was appointed Manager – Projects. In this role Terri has responsibility for the project management of all internal and external projects, including new client implementations.

Leanne Eskey – Manager Portfolio Administration

Leanne Eskey joined AMAL in 2001 and has over 10 years experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to her appointment as Manager – Portfolio Administration earlier this year, Leanne was Team Leader of AMAL’s largest client, overseeing all aspects of the relationship. Before joining AMAL, Leanne worked in the credit union and legal sectors, where she gained experience in all aspects of mortgage processing both pre and post-settlement.

Andrew Davis - Manager Credit Services

Andrew joined AMAL in March 2006 and has 30 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining AMAL Andrew spent five years as general manager of Hatmax Finance, a mortgage fund manager, where his role encompassed responsibility for compliance, credit assessment and origination of commercial loans.

Jose Goicoechea - Manager Systems and Technology

Jose joined AMAL in 2004 and has over 14 years experience in the IT industry, specialising in financial services. Recently he spent four years working in the financial markets technology division of a software company. Previously he has worked as an IT consultant in a broad range of industries.

Silvia Virgilio - Manager New Zealand

Silvia joined AMAL in 2002 as Team Leader in the Portfolio Administration division. Silvia has over 15 years experience in the banking sector including roles with BankWest and HSBC. Silvia has a range of skills developed in various retail, corporate and property-finance positions. In 2004 Silvia was appointed as manager of AMAL’s New Zealand business where she oversees all aspects of loan administration for AMALNZ’s customers.
